Roger Albert Clark Rally 2013

Steve Bannister and Kevin Rae took their second Roger Albert Clark Rally victory after another glorious three days of rallying through Yorkshire and the Scottish borders.

‘Banner’ was peerless in his Ford Escort Mk2 over 160 miles of special stages made even tougher by ice on Sunday morning. Two drivers took the fight to Bannister but were both caught out by the same deceptive crest in Pundershaw. “After the fight with Marty McCormack last year and losing on the last stage, this has made up a little bit,” said Bannister as he repeated his 2007 victory. “This is the best event of the year for historic cars, so it is great to win it again.”
